Nguaya: Restoring Trust and Driving Execution in Africa’s Next Era
By Konan Nguessan | Founder, Nguaya
“Many projects fail not for lack of funding or ideas — but because execution is fragile, slow, and often chaotic.” — Harvard Business Review, 2021
West Africa is full of potential. From logistics and infrastructure to health and green energy, the vision is there. Ambitious master plans are drawn. Foreign investors arrive. Yet time after time, these projects stall.
At Nguaya, we’re not just asking what went wrong — we’re offering a better way forward.
The Real Issue Isn’t Money — It’s Trust and Execution
Investors are not short on capital. They are short on trust — trust in local systems, trust in visibility, and trust that their investment will translate into actual results.
We understand that trust must be earned.
Nguaya was created to rebuild that trust — by offering Execution as a Service, combining international discipline, local fluency, and clear reporting. We believe in Côte d’Ivoire and West Africa. We live here. We work here. And while we’re just getting started as a firm, our team has proven itself individually by leading complex projects for Fortune 500 companies and global institutions. Now, we’re bringing that experience home — to serve those who believe in this region’s future.
The Untapped Power of the Diaspora — and the Workforce at Home
This isn’t a solo venture. Nguaya was founded by a U.S. Army veteran and project leader born in Abidjan and trained in the United States. But behind this company is a collective of brilliant African professionals—from Paris to Atlanta, Toronto to Nairobi—who are ready to come home and deliver.
“Africa’s diaspora is a sleeping giant — rich in knowledge, experience, and global exposure, waiting for real pathways to contribute.” — African Union, 2022
Over half of my high school classmates are living overseas. Many are highly qualified: engineers, doctors, analysts, and consultants. They're watching. They're ready. They just need a structure that works.
And it's not just the diaspora. Here at home, there’s a young, ambitious local workforce eager to prove themselves. They're hungry for opportunity and tired of being overlooked. Nguaya is building a bridge between the global and the local—because transformation will take all of us.
Why Now?
The world is turning toward Africa. But money and ideas alone won’t get the job done.
What Africa needs now is a new generation of execution partners — people who understand both Dakar and D.C., Abidjan and Amsterdam. People who are here for the long game.
“Execution is the missing link between strategy and results.” — Larry Bossidy & Ram Charan
At Nguaya, we are that link.
We’re not just consultants. We’re not just planners. We’re not just idealists.
We are a team of Africans — globally trained, locally rooted — working hand in hand with the people who know this environment best: the local professionals, technicians, and community leaders who bring irreplaceable knowledge and context.
Real transformation comes when global experience and local wisdom meet on equal ground. That’s the work we’ve committed to doing.
